All that Jaz. No it is not about Jazz, or anything close to music. It is about my walk with God. How I jazz along with God on this road called life.

We thank God for the FART!

This Thanksgiving, the top items that we are thankful for are farts, pees, and poops.

Two months ago, my son started feeling this intermittent pain in his abdomen. Two times our pediatrician was not able to diagnose what the source was. It was not until the third time he experienced such excruciating pain that we were sent to get an ultrasound, which revealed something call "intussusception" with his intestines, which sent us to the ER. Yet, when the pain was gone and they could not find anything on the second ultrasound, they sent us home again. One week ago, the all too familiar cramping came back to my son, and this time it sent us to the ER at another hospital, with which eventually admitted him as a patient. One test led to another, and it was ultimately decided that  he needed a surgery to straighten out his intestines.

When they had him open, it was determined that it was a meat-ball size polyp that wrecked all the havoc in his digestive system. It wasn't easy to see your only son going through yet another surgery, and this time a much more intense one then a mere biopsy. Yet, God blessed us with great doctors and nurses, and the source of all the misery these last two months was permanently removed.

For the next  few days, there was nothing much on the agenda for my son to recover other than being able to fart, pee and poop. These were the indicators that let the doctors know Matthias's kidneys and intestines were healing.

When he was ready to let our gas, we cheered! When he was able to go number two though not in an epic way, we cheered. When he was able to have both input and output, we celebrated!

Never discount anything, in this case, our bodily functions that God has so "lavished upon us!"

"In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
